Privacy Policy

SPECTIV is operated by Vermar Design LLC, doing business as SPECTIV (“SPECTIV”, “we”, “us”). SPECTIV provides software for the film and television industry, including CrewCall, which productions use to send their crew and vendors each day’s call time and location. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Production coordinators and vendors — name, email address, and the production or business name, when you start a show or a workspace; your mobile number if you sign up for status texts.
• Crew and vendors on a production’s list — name, role, department, email address and mobile number, as added by the production (typed, pasted, or read from a call sheet it uploads), and the call times and locations it sends you.
• Call activity — when a call was sent to you, opened and confirmed, and any text reply you send to CrewCall.
• Text-message consent — when you sign up for texts: the number you entered, the exact wording you agreed to, the time, and the IP address and browser used. We keep this as proof of your consent.
• Site usage — standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited).

How we use it

Only to run SPECTIV for the production or business you work with: to deliver calls and updates by email and, if you signed up, by text; to show the production who has received and confirmed a call; to pass your text replies to the production’s coordinators; to answer support requests; and to secure our systems and meet legal obligations. We do not use crew contact details for our own marketing, and we do not sell personal information.

Crew lists belong to the production that added them. We keep them separate for each production and do not combine them with other productions’ lists or with any other business’s customer records.

Text messages

We text only people who have signed up themselves, only at the number they signed up with, and only about the production they signed up for. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies; see our Terms of Service for what each person receives. Reply STOP to any message to stop, and HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and consent records are used only by SPECTIV and the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

Who we share it with

With the production you work on: the coordinators of that show see its crew list, call status, and the replies you send. With service providers who act only on our instructions: cloud hosting and database providers, our email and text-message delivery services, and an AI service that reads a call sheet a production uploads so the coordinator can review the crew list before it is saved. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

SirReel

SPECTIV is affiliated with SirReel Production Vehicles, Inc. (“SirReel”), a production rental company with which SPECTIV shares some leadership. SirReel hosts the systems SPECTIV runs on, and two SirReel executives can access SPECTIV records to operate and support the service. SirReel does not use crew or vendor contact details for its own marketing, and does not add them to its customer records. When SirReel sponsors a production’s use of CrewCall, SirReel learns that the production started a show and whether it was used, not who is on the crew list.

Retention and security

We keep a show’s records while the production uses SPECTIV and as long as needed afterwards for billing, support and legal obligations. Consent records are kept for as long as we might need to show that a text was sent with permission. Access is limited to people who need it, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your choices

Reply STOP to stop texts at any time. Ask your production to remove you from its list, or email us and we will help. You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA, and we honour them on request.
